About Coach Lee
Coach Lee is a sport psychology specialist based in Manila, Philippines. He provides sport psychology services to athletes and coaches from different sports at various levels of competition and age groups. He served as the sport psychology specialist for the men’s basketball team of Far Eastern University at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) when the team made back-to-back finals appearances in 2010 and 2011. He was also the resident sport psychology specialist for the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) in 2011 and 2012. He has worked with the Loyola Meralco Sparks of the United Football League (UFL), the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eaglets UAAP Juniors basketball team, the Enderun Titans men’s basketball team (NAASCU), the FEU men’s football team, and athletes in the following sports: archery, motorsport, baseball, basketball (professional and amateur), boxing (professional and amateur), crossfit, fencing, football, golf (professional and amateur), gymnastics, pole vault, swimming, tennis, and triathlon. He also conducts seminars and workshops on sport psychology.
Coach Lee is a former Assistant to the Principal for Sports Development, Head Counselor, and English teacher at Ateneo de Manila High School. He coached basketball at International School Manila in 2006, and coached basketball and volleyball in Texas, USA where he was also a special education teacher for young children.
From 2019-2021, Coach Lee served as the resident mental game coach and Marketing Director for Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna and National University. Aside from his work in the fields of sports and education, Coach Lee had sales and marketing leadership stints in multinational and local organizations managing international brands such as Nike, Havaianas, Puma, and Skechers. He is currently the Executive Director of NU East Ortigas and co-owns a restaurant which features Japanese cuisine.
Coach Lee was a contributing writer for GolfPH.com and the Inquirer Golf magazine. He also has been featured in The Manila Times.
Coach Lee has a Certificate in Sport Psychology from San Diego University for Integrative Studies where he had the opportunity to learn from prominent sport psychologists such as David Lavallee and Cristina Versari, and Barca Innovation Hub Universitas. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and graduate units from Ateneo de Manila University and San Diego University for Integrative Studies.
He is a certified Double-Goal Coach of the Positive Coaching Alliance, a Stanford-based organization that focuses on positive coaching for youth sports.
